VirtuSLO e-League 2021, autumn edition
VirtuSLO e-League is a points-based race serié with 8 races over 8 week period in A, B, C, D and E category group. Races will be held every Sunday at 10.30 AM CET, starting from the 31st of October till the 19th of December 2021. Everyone is welcome to take part and participate, score points in a single race or entire series.
Rules
The winner of the day is the rider with the lowest time in the end, discounted for time bonuses gathered during the race on intermediate prime banners. The first three riders over the prime banner receive 3-2-1 bonus seconds, which will be discounted from the finishing time. Look carefully at calendar table which prime banners count for bonus seconds before entering the race!
General classification
Daily race result counts for the general classification (GC). Riders daily finishing rank (discounted for the bonus seconds gathered on primes) translates into points. The winner score 1 point, runner-up score 2 points, 3rd score 3 points, 4th, 5th, 6th, score 4, 5, 6 points and so on. To score points rider must finish the stage and be listed in ZP results. A day without participation, DNF, DQ counts 100 points. Finishing below 100th rank (in the case of large groups) counts 100 points as well. The winner in GC will be the one with the lowest cumulative score of 7 best races out of 8. Worst week deletetion will be applied after week 5.

In case of an equal amount of points in GC between two riders, then gathered time bonuses are the second denominator. A rider with more bonus seconds gathered during the serié will wear yellow, since more gathered seconds on intermediate primes means higher activation during stages.
Leaders jersey (the dress code)
We kindly ask the current Leader of the GC competition to wear a special Yellow jersey reserved only for the race leader with yellow socks for the time of his leadership in this event. It is a unique privilege, obligation, and the burden of visibility that comes along with leadership. All current leaders from every group will also have special privilege with a yellow beacon assigned during their leadership.Rest of the field: we kindly ask you to avoid wearing a Yellow CRCA jersey and yellow socks for the time of this event. With yellow avoidance, you show respect to the leader and his special privilege. But do not hesitate to attack and grab the jersey for the next stage if you can!
Instruction: during ingame press the P button on your keyboard and write “CRCANYC” code. This unlocks this yellow jersey. Now go into the garage and change your jersey before the race.
Group categories and start times
We use standard zwiftpower.com category limits which are based on 95% of your Peak20min power output:
A category: > 4.0 W/kg
B category: 3.2 – 3.99 W/kg
C category: 2.5 – 3.19 W/kg
D category: < 2.49 W/kg
E category: ladies only
Starting times are separated per category:
A category + 0 minutes
B category + 1 minute
C, D and E category + 2 minutes
Generally, your profile data at zwiftpower.com (abbreviated as ZP) determines in which category you should race. ZP continuously monitors your performance and calculates your Category on a rolling base for the last 90 days (~3 months). If you are new and didn’t participate in an event on Zwift yet or don’t know your category yet, use 95% of your best 20-minute effort and divide it by your weight in kilograms and pick the correct category. Example: 73 kg heavy rider has recorded his Peak20min effort during all-out climbing @289watts.
Category => (289W x 0.95) / 73kg = 3.76 W/kg => Cat B
Important note: We are 100% dependent on ZP monitoring and their statistical service. This also means that if you get upgraded by ZP during the league, you will be upgraded in the points system and start with zero points in a higher Category. If you are close to the Category limit, and you are not a very experienced Zwifter or long-time rider familiar with your power output, we recommend choosing a higher Category. It can be heartbreaking if you simply improve during League, with your heart pumping more blood, lungs extracting more Oxygen, and legs pushing pedals stronger and get filtered from results, relegated to a higher Category with a new start from Zero.
